Meet Jennifer Wade
I believe passionately in the power of coaching to transform lives for the better.
It is joyful work to combine empathy, insight, and wisdom with practical steps and real world experience all in service of transformation. It is hard to describe the profound sense of satisfaction I feel when I help others uncover their most authentic self and take the steps to transform their life in beautiful ways! It starts with taking the time to honestly explore what isn't serving you any longer. Coaching cuts through the chaff to connect with the voice inside that speaks for you and your well-being, not the desires and expectations of others. Once you've connected to that deep wisdom, you can start to create and pursue a vision for your life that truly excites you! I know it is possible because I have done it. A large part of my journey has been focused on the work of stepping out of my big fears and stepping into the power I have known was inside me my whole life. I've worked hard to develop deep trust in myself. Founding Lifescape Visionary was an essential, joyful, and inevitable step in listening to that inner wisdom and aligning my inner and outer worlds. I haven't looked back since! |
I have lived the vast majority of my life in Washington, D.C. which, let's face it, is not the most spiritually motivated city in the world. There is no doubt that much of the energy of this region is focused on the self, but it is the kind of focus on self that leads to entitlement and an everyone-out-for-themselves mentality. For most of my life, I felt like I was going against the grain of the world around me.
Despite this rigid and cut-throat environment, my spirit found its early calling in music – classical violin to be specific. I knew from a young age that music would be a central part of my journey. But there was, and always has been, something more just beneath the surface. Even as I navigated my way through the D.C. professional music scene, performing in some of the most famous venues in the country, I knew that these experiences were just stepping stones to a greater purpose. Performing is about connection, beauty, and communicating something extraordinary about the human experience. Teaching music is about cultivating awareness, finding a unique voice, understanding balance and harmony, and nurturing creativity. Music demands self-discipline, responding in the moment, and perfectly aligning the internal and the external. As it turns out, all of this is also necessary for a life of great meaning! The weight of this truth hit me while I was still in my mid-twenties. That's when the dream of becoming a coach was first born. But life had a lot more for me to learn first. I had to know what it was like to be brought to my knees and rise again. Within the span of one decade, my marriage ended, my beloved father passed away, I was told I would never be able to have children, and one of the most important friendships of my life came to an abrupt end. |
Then, just when I thought the worst was over, I met the man of my dreams, became engaged, and months later sat dumbfounded and utterly heartbroken as he announced to me that he just couldn't do it and walked out.
It might be hard to believe, but that's honestly just the short list. There were a handful of other significant blows in the mix, but I think you get the picture. As you might imagine, it took a lot of time, hard work, soul-searching, and yes, therapy(!), to piece myself back together. Slowly, but surely, new possibilities came into focus – new possibilities born of seeds which had always been there. As part of my healing journey, I took four months off from my life – that was all I could afford – and learned to listen to my own internal wisdom more attentively than ever before. I discovered what self-compassion really feels like. I began to live by my values and my desires, not by what was expected of me or dictated to me. During that retreat from the world, the idea of building Lifescape Visionary was born. I knew it would combine my natural love of nurturing profound self-acceptance and authentic expression in others with all of the significant lessons I’ve learned through music and in life. It was perfect! Today, I love the direction my life has taken! I am connected with people who share my values and continually inspire me to grow. I show up for myself instead of hiding. I have discovered amazing new relationships, adventures, and opportunities all because I am finally clear about who I am and how to be of the highest service to others! The big question on my mind now is this: could you be the next person I get to help? Are you looking to get really clear on who you are and how to build a life that is uniquely, beautifully yours? Are you ready to take the liberating plunge inward? If the answer is yes, I am joyfully waiting for you with arms wide open! |
