Coaching Pathways: The Grateful Heart

The Power of Cultivating Gratitude
You may be aware of a growing body of scientific research that confirms what some spiritual practices have been teaching for centuries: gratitude is good for you and is a key component of living a happy life.  Most of us intuitively understand and accept the wisdom of cultivating more gratitude in our lives. The challenge, however, is consistently practicing gratitude in the face of day to day routines and distractions. More often than not, gratitude is the furthest thing from your mind when you experience stress over financial or relationship issues, experience illness or injustice, or experience the inevitable fatigue from attempting to meet all the internal and external demands placed on you. Connecting with gratitude is easy in serene, happy moments, but serenity just isn't easy to come by. So while you may embrace the desire to be more grateful, the effort required to put it into practice can seem overwhelming and unrealistic.

In connecting with people every day, I know that every single one of us wants to be happy. It is all too common, however, to mistakenly believe that gratitude is a result of happiness and not the other way around. In truth, a prolonged sense of happiness starts with gratitude.  When you're grateful, you're not fearful. When you're grateful, you are more aligned to a sense of 'enough'  rather than a draining sense of scarcity. Building a strong and grateful heart, like anything else, starts with setting an intention and following through with small, manageable efforts at practice. Not a single effort in this regard is ever wasted, and every effort begins to build momentum toward the next effort.

The Grateful Heart Coaching Pathway
There's no denying that gratitude can be hard to come by in certain situations and with certain people. But, like anything, it is an emotional muscle and attitude that can be strengthened. There are numerous reasons to pursue this strengthening routine, including improved health, less anxiety, a higher sense of life satisfaction, and deeper connections with others.  It would be my great honor to work with you on this path and be a guide to your experience with the profound and transformative benefits of gratitude. The list below outlines some of the important concepts, tools, and practices you will experience in coaching centered around the Grateful Heart.
